Bruins Sabres Preview

This match up starts off the Northeast Division November Tournament for the Sabres. With 10 of the next 11 against the Sabres division foes. And will face the Bruins 3 times over 10 days. I hope you like to watch Peter Schaefer.

So whats going on with the Bruins so far you may ask.

They are one game better at 6 and 4, which is a good start for the Bruins. Especially starting off the season 3-2 with a 5 game west coast road trip. But they seem to struggle to score goals. Excluding that 8 to 6 win over the Kings. The Kings are terrible and anyone can score on them.

Leading scorer is Marc Savard the Tim Connolly of the Bruins, who has identical stats. With 1 goal and 9 assists.

Leading goal scorer is Phil Kessel with 5 goals, who is a wonderful 2nd year player and one of these young kids that are leading the new NHL.

The eye popping stat of the Bruins is Tim Thomas, who will be in net, since Manny Fernandez is struggling with a injury.

He has a 1.34GAA .957Sv% and a 4-2 record.

The Bruins have struggled against the Sabres since the lockout, going 3-12-1 over the past 2 years. So a win tonight will start off the 8 game series on the right note.

Team Stats

Sabres: 5w - 5L 36GF 34GA Power Play is ranked 12th and Penalty Kill is ranked 14th

Bruins 6w - 4l 24GF 24GA Power Play is ranked 14th and Penalty Kill is ranked 22nd

Prediction.

4-2 Sabres, the break was good to get things straightened out, and there will be a healthy Sabre fan presence in Boston. The Sabres have the Bruins number and I don't see that changing.

GCFB will be at Fat Bobs having dinner with the father of GCFB.
