Sabres Habs Preview

Well the march through the Northeast division continues tonight against the Canadiens. A game I will not get up for and probably will watch Chuck and Heroes. The Sabres are trying my patience with their lazy play, especially in their own zone. Right now, I can console myself with its early November, and they gotta find themselves. But what if this continues through the end of the calender year?

Matchups this year.

The Canandiens won the only matchup early this year 4-2 in Montreal.

Who's doing what.

Well the non French speaking Captain, Saku Koivu, is leading this team with 14 points (4g 10asts) With, Kovalev, Markov and Higgins right behind him with 11 points each. But you always have to look out for the Sabre killer Smolinski, who only has 5 points, but the one goal he has came against the Sabres.

I'm not sure if Huet or Price will be in net, but either way, its not gonna be easy. Both playing very well and solid in front of a better defense then predicted.

The Canandiens main weapon though, just like last year is their power play. Which is operating a astonishing 31%. So the Sabres must stay out of the box, if they even want to win.

The Canandiens are giving up only 2.54 goals a game, compared to the Sabres 3.50. And scoring 3.31 goals a game to Buffalo's 3.42.

Prediction.

Until I see heart and effort from a majority of players, and with continuing defensive issues with staying healthy. I'll take the Habs at home 5-1.
