One final beatdown before the Tourney

Well sunday was the final regular season game for the Men, and according to prediction, walked into the Gallagher Center and got stomped on. But I love how this is written by the Canisius website, whoever writes this thing must be a former Bush speech writer.

Canisius trailed 43-31 with 18:38 left in the game, but cut the Purple Ealges' cushion to eight at 43-35 after Vazquez-Simmons took a pass from Robert Goldsberry and slammed one home with 17:41 left on the clock. Cut to eight? Thats not that close really. Especially with 18 minutes left in the game. Thats trying to make it sound better then it was. Especially when you let Fisher and Hodge both get over 20 points. Well at least one Griff player got to 20 points. New Freshman Greg Logins scored 23 points, and has shown promise over the last few games. Unlike a bunch of other Parrotta recruits. Willie Hassell a former big time player, played 1 minute, Jovan Robinson 5 minutes and the Polish Rifle only got 5 minutes. Tom Parrotta still doesn't know what he has on his team, even at the last regular season game. When your letting a walk on like Bob Bevilaqua play 37 MINUTES! And only score 5 points. Thats a problem. What the hell was he doing out there? His numbers are far from anything. 1 for 7, 2 rebounds, 2 assists. What was he doing out there for 37 minutes?

The Griffs finish the season at 5-24 and a pathetic 2-16 in conference. A bad conference. How they beat 5 teams is beyond me. This team is far from being good. The fired Mike Mcdonald to take a step forward. Well it looks like took a leap backwards. Good thing no one really pays attention to Canisius basketball, or Coach Parrottas head would be called for.

The Griffs go into Albany as the 10th seed, play Iona on Friday at 10pm. The winner gets the privilege to be pounded by Rider!!!!!
